Co-founder and managing partner, Steve Miller, literally wrote the book on alcoholic beverages, food and entertainment licensing in Massachusetts. Since 2006, he has chaired the MCLE New England’s annual alcohol licensing seminar and co-authored its Alcohol, Food Service and Entertainment Licensing publication (now in its 6th edition). As a lifetime Board member of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, Steve was also inducted into the MRA's Hall of Fame in 2016. In 2026, Steve was a featured speaker at the New England Restaurant & Bar Show, joining a panel of industry experts to discuss “Navigating the Regulatory Landscape” for restaurant and bar operators; and he was recognized earlier this by the Massachusetts Package Stores Association, as the first recipient of its “Alcohol Industry Icon Award.” Steve began his career as an owner operator of several successful bar and restaurant establishments in the City of Boston. Combining this early experience with several decades as a regulatory attorney for client ventures in wholesale, retail, restaurant, hotel, hospitality, sports and entertainment licensing, he has helped to develop our firm into a leading alcoholic beverages licensing practice on the municipal, state and federal levels.
